I'd like to ask you a question...
And I encourage you to pause and really spend some time thinking about it...
Because doing so is what helped to change my life.
Here it is..
Do you spend time creating and tuning in to a vision of your life?
Really pause and think about this.
Your OWN vision.
Not one dictated by society,
or by what you “think you should do” or “what makes most sense”.
Not one that feels like, “this is probably the most realistic”…
“gotta survive ya know”
I want you to honestly ask if you’re spending adequate time tuning in to your own heart.
You’ve been gifted a body, a mind, a personality and a waking life to experience it all in.
And we only have one life (with our current felt consciousness) to live it!
What a gift.
Unfortunately…we’re programmed based on the past (which sometimes doesn’t serve us well)
and most of us live our days on autopilot, following closely, the things we’ve been shown and taught.
But is what’s around you, what you do each day and how you think and feel...
what YOU want?
YOU. Not anyone else.
If it’s not…
if you’re not doing what you want to do,
surrounded by who and what you want to be surrounded with…
if you’re not spending your days doing what’s actually close to your heart
or thinking and feeling in ways you feel would better serve you…
KNOW, that you are actually able to change these things.
I’ve done it and continue to do so each day…AND,
it’s the most worthwhile time I’ve spent with my life.
Many of us aren’t leveraging the power our minds...
and the power of our daily choices and decisions.
Usually this is because of subconscious fear.
We fear failure so it prevents us from even looking at it or sticking with it.
“How embarrassing would it be to actually think I had immense control over my life,
only to discover that I fail and that was a silly thought to think.”
This keeps us stuck. And then we brush away actually looking at our lives closely.
But for me…
the pain of staying where I was...
got greater than actually testing if I could make true shifts in my life.
Floor nursing is a great profession but it’s also extremely stressful,
and the shift work was not doing my physical, mental, emotional or spiritual health any favours.
Certain relationships and behaviours I was engaging in were also not serving my life in positive ways.
I had a stark realization that if I continued doing what I was doing… things would only stay the same.
And honestly… my soul couldn’t handle that thought.
I knew… “you gotta start making shifts...
to begin aligning your life to what YOU actually want it to be”.
At first… it was different than what others around me wanted...
Different than what my parents wanted for me…
and it was different than a lot of my friends… and this was hard.
In my head I thought…
“I seem to have a different vision…or different beliefs in myself… am I crazy?”
But the nagging of creating a life more aligned with my soul wouldn’t go away.
I wanted more freedom. I wanted more peace. I wanted to live life on my own terms.
And so I started to.
And I chose to NOT DROP THE VISION.
When my parents and others would say, “but nursing is such a good profession”…
I had to start saying back, “I’m so much happier and less stressed doing my own thing...
and sticking to the practices and ways of living that I feel are helping…
and isn’t this what life is all about?
Isn’t this what we should want for people?
Is this not the essence of life?”
These were uncomfortable conversations.
And they had to happen OVER and OVER and OVER again.
And I HAD to stick with my vision.
This can feel lonely and isolating and make you feel a bit crazy.
But I had to recognize that it was ok for them to not understand my vision.
Because …it’s MY vision. It’s not theirs.
And guess what? … I don’t have to have those conversations too often anymore.
It’s been too many years of me stubbornly sticking to my vision,
and giving the same answers like a broken record (haha).
But also… what can be said?…
I’m more "successful" (if we're talking success in financial terms...
it's not my personal definition of success but it certainly is important).
I'm also happier, less stressed, living in more and more states
of love and inner peace and I've attracted to me,
relationships that are healthier and align with my desired vision of life.
Value of that?
I now remind myself… “there’s no need to reconsider how I’m living…
as one should only reconsider how they’re living, when things aren’t working,
or when things don’t feel good”
And what I’ve done has worked.
And it was taught to me by all the coaches I’ve worked with,
and research I have done on shifting one’s mind and shifting one’s life.
YOU can create your life to be anything you want it to be.
And it CAN be successful.
It CAN be peaceful and have immense meaning.
But you have to sit down and start the process of tuning in to your heart.
You then have to examine your thoughts, your beliefs and your actions...
to see if they’re aligned with this vision and if they’re supporting you in moving towards it.
After that, one needs to clear out the junk that isn’t YOURS,
and isn't serving you and your life.
Create and practice living from new beliefs and perspectives.
And take inspired actions that are aligned with these…slowly.
Over time, this re-programs your mind...
which can then re-program and create a whole new outer life…
to a life that reflects your heart, your soul and your true capabilities and gifts.
Does this seem like a lot?
It can be a lot… but what else are you spending your time doing?
And what possibilities exist if you spend a bit more time working through these things?
I want people to have lives they love and to be sitting in a mind that serves them,
serves their life and serves the people around them.
It takes an unraveling of life and doing practices and reflections that will actually get you there…
but it’s immensely worth the time.
And this is what I LOVE to teach.
My passion is guiding women through this unraveling process.
I’ve created exercises, reflections and practices that are science and research based,
and that come from 8 years of exploring and working in the personal growth,
success and psychology field.
It can feel vulnerable laying out your life,
your thoughts, your feelings and all the real truths of YOU...
I know the discomfort.
It makes you want to squirm and run away and say, “please don’t look at my life too closely…
I swear I don’t think and feel this way”
But having the courage to be vulnerable, lay it on the table and work through one thing at a time...
one thought, one feeling, one action, one truth…
THIS is where the magic and the power to transform things truly lies.
I love the human experience. And I love being raw, honest and creating a space that says,
“life is messy but let’s bare it all and let’s work through it together”.
And judgement of your true thoughts, emotions, behaviours, blockages,
or status of your life is not a part of my practice.
Because it’s not a part of true, authentic growth.
It’s the dark parts of ourselves that we have to connect with,
and bare and work through...
to start moving towards and creating a life of more light.
And this is what I love to help with.
If you catch yourself saying, “I’m not sure it’s the right time”…
I just want you to ponder…
"when will it be the right time to get down to doing this work?"
True transformation takes a slow, continuous,
step-by-step commitment to showing up.
And the sooner you begin looking at all this stuff…
the sooner you can start getting that ball rolling.
I’ll help you start it and I’ll help you keep it going…
as I know this can be the challenging part.
This is my passion and this is my gift.
I’m ready, if you’re ready.
