What is meditative breathwork?
Meditative breathwork, based off theory and concepts of Holotropic Breathwork, is a powerful form of self-exploration, healing and transformation.
How does it work?
During the workshop, you'll be guided to follow specific breathing patterns that help put the mind into meditative states and states that provide easier access to the subconscious mind.
And then what?
Things that can come up in these meditative states include:
Insights and understanding of different situations in your life
Insight into what's truly important in your life
Healing of the mind and body
Deep sense of peace and bliss
New creative ideas
Deep connection towards oneself
Insights into what needs to be worked on and healed in your life
Ideas of life direction/next steps
Release of emotions that might be limiting you and keeping you stuck
Done over time, meditative breathwork can provide deep healing and truly transformational effects in one's life.
Schedule at each workshop:
7-7:30 pm - Introduction & instructions
7:30-8:30pm - Breathing Session
8:30-9pm - Discussion/integration
** No experience necessary. These workshops are geared towards beginner breathers. I will be there to answer any questions, guide you through the practice and give direction on how to work with the insights & emotions that come up.
WHEN: First three Wednesdays of every month
**please come 10-15 minutes early to set up your spot and get cozy!
WHERE: Transitions Studio - 244 Grantham Avenue, St. Catharines (far left door on front, 2nd floor)
WHAT TO BRING: A yoga mat, a pillow, blanket, comfy layered clothing, a journal & pen, water bottle
* try to eat 2 hours prior to breathwork

Who are these workshops not for? Not advised for women who are pregnant, anyone with heart conditions, schizophrenia, seizure disorder, bipolar disorder and/or if you have a history of severe trauma (recommend a trauma specialist).
